Yolo Habitat Conservation Plan goes into effect this month

A 600-page plan that took 25 years to complete and get approved will likely begin the implementation process this month. The Yolo Habitat Conservation Plan/Natural Community Conservation Plan is a lengthy document created by the Yolo Habitat Conservancy — a joint-powers agency made up of the cities of Davis, West Sacramento, Winters and Woodland — that will conserve over 32,000 acres of land over 50 years for 12 special status species.
